Our Academy

From its inception, the vision for the David Nieper Academy was to create an outstanding school of which the whole community can be proud.

The Academy is a ‘new start’ for the education of the children living in and around Alfreton. Our purpose-built building, which opened mid-February 2017,  gives students superb facilities that inspire, nurture and support academic achievement. Unrivalled links with local employers help our students understand how their learning relates to life beyond the classroom and could lead to sponsorships through further education, apprenticeships, and jobs.
