Studying BTEC Business, students will gain a genuine grasp of many areas of business. By completing the full BTEC course, each student will have completed 8 units of work. This means students will have a foundation into the world of business, marketing, finance and customer service

Length of course:
This course lasts for 2 years. Students will study 8 units across Year 12 & 13.

How will I be assessed?
Units 2, 3 & 6 are externally assessed. Unit 2 is taught in Year 12 while Units 3 & 6 are taught in Year 13.
Units 1, 4, 5, 8 & 27 are internally assessed. Units 1, 8, 27 are taught in Year 12. Units 4 & 5 are taught in Year 13.

What does the course lead to?
Students who have studied business courses at Level 3 can be expected to access many University course including, Marketing, Business Finance, Accountancy, Human Resources & Business Management. A business qualification is also desirable for companies who offer higher level apprenticeships.
